Paige Seidel

When Paige Seidel of Dumont woke up at 3 a.m. and her leg was swollen, red and painful, she knew a trip to the Waverly Health Center Emergency Department was needed. Upon arrival to the ED, Paige was evaluated and treatment to help with the cellulitis and staph infection was started. “The ED staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable,” Paige stated.

Paige was then admitted to the medical-surgical floor to begin her healing process. “The nursing staff was very attentive and made sure my pain was under control,” Paige noted. Throughout her two-week hospital stay, Paige was provided care by all of WHC’s hospitalists. “All three of the doctors were very friendly and caring. I had excellent care and had all the confidence in the world in them,” she continued.

“The dietary staff exceeded my expectations with all my requests. The food was great! Housekeeping did a fantastic job and I appreciated their attentiveness to all areas,” Paige said. After a successful surgery by Dr. Kathie Whitt, with Family Foot Health Care PLC, and a couple weeks of healing, Paige was ready to go home.

“The facility was nice and the nursing staff were professional and fun. Overall, my experience was excellent, from the emergency department, to surgery, to the medical-surgical floor and everything in between,” she ended.
