WHC Names February Spotlight on Values Award Winners

Waverly-Administrator | February 27th, 2017

Five members of the Waverly Health Center (WHC) team have been named February Spotlight on Values award winners. Nominated by co-workers, patients and members of the community, these individuals are examples of WHC’s values in action.

Colleen Losey of Waverly, pharmacy, was recognized for the value of compassion. Collen took extra steps to get a patient their pills. Her co-workers wrote, “Colleen made sure they were ready by the time the patient was discharged and that the patient understood how to take them.’”

Britney Leibold of New Hartford, clinic business office, was recognized for the value of enthusiasm. Britney was nominated for helping in areas outside of her department. Her nominator commented, “Britney worked extra shifts cheerfully, showing her dedication to the organization.”

Julia Palestrina of Waverly, medical-surgical, was recognized for the value of excellence. Julia helped calm an anxious patient. Her nominator commented, “She sat by our patient and listened. She responded to her concerns compassionately.”

Rob Edgar of Waverly, ambulance, was recognized for the value of integrity. His nominator commented, “We can always count on Rob to fill in where needed. He is knowledgeable in many different areas.”

Jennie Waller of Janesville, administration, was recognized for the value of leadership. Jeannie recently led a new project. Her nominator stated, “Jennie kept the project organized through great communication and attention to detail.”

WHC has adopted six values which include compassion, enthusiasm, excellence, innovation, integrity and leadership. The Spotlight on Values program recognizes WHC employees, volunteers and physicians for demonstrating these values. Patients, visitors and employees are encouraged to submit nominations for the WHC Spotlight on Values honors. Nominations can be submitted online or at any Spotlight on Values ballot boxes placed throughout the health center.
