Waverly Health Center Auxiliary Awards $20,000 in Scholarships to Future Health Care Professionals
The Waverly Health Center Auxiliary is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 health care scholarships. This year, the Auxiliary awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 18 students who are pursuing careers in health-related fields.
The scholarships are open to Waverly Health Center employees and individuals living in the WHC service area who have completed at least one year of education in a health care field.
“These recipients represent the future of health care,” said Melinda Pitt, WHC Volunteer Services Manager. “We are honored to support their journeys and invest in the growth of our community.”
The Auxiliary raises funds through annual membership gifts and events like the Gift Garden, a volunteer-run hospital gift shop. Proceeds from these efforts help fund both student scholarships and special projects throughout the health center.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the Auxiliary scholarship fund may contact Melinda Pitt at 319-483-4076 or MPitt@waverlyhealthcenter.org. Donations are tax-deductible and accepted year-round.
