What to Expect
Physical therapy starts with a one-on-one evaluation to assess your needs, goals, and abilities. Your therapist will develop a customized plan of care designed to help you:

Therapy may include targeted exercises, hands-on techniques, education, and guidance to support your recovery at home and beyond.
State-of-the-art Technology
Through our partnership with Taylor Physical Therapy, patients at Waverly Health Center have access to use the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill to help patients regain mobility, develop strength and fitness, and increase range of motion and natural movement – all while minimizing stress on injuries. The Alter G treadmill comfortably supports the user and “unweights” them by as much as 80%.
The Alter G can be used for:
- Rehab after an injury or surgery
- Rehab after total joint replacement
- Gait training and strengthening
- Strengthening and conditioning in a fall-safe environment
- Weight-loss programs
- Injury prevention during sport specific conditioning and fitness improvement programs
VALD Performance Testing
VALD is a suite of cutting-edge tools used by physical therapists, athletic trainers and sports scientists to assess strength, balance, movement and recovery.
VALD Technology can be used for:
- Computerized objective strength & ROM testing
- Identification of movement asymmetries
- Identification of balance discrepancies
- Improvement in quality of functions mobility
