Waverly Health Center’s (WHC) Morgan Jacks, PharmD, BCPS, was selected to attend the 2024 Decker-Temple Leadership Pharmacy Conference. She was one of 10 applicants chosen from the state of Iowa.

Through a competitive application process, the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) Executive Committee chooses attendees based on demonstrated leadership potential, involvement in professional and community activities, and clarity and vision for the future of the profession of pharmacy.

“I feel honored to have been chosen to attend the Decker-Temple Leadership Conference,” said Jacks. “I came away feeling re-energized about my role in pharmacy and ways I can become more involved.”

According to the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW), who hosts the event in association with the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA), the conference “provides an unequaled opportunity for pharmacists relatively new to their profession to develop skills which enable both personal and professional growth.”

The conference was held in Galena, Illinois in early August. Jacks is thankful for the opportunity to connect with leaders from IPA, PSW and pharmacists from various roles and practice sites.

“I love being a pharmacist at Waverly Health Center,” said Jacks. “I am confident that the skills I learned from the conference will be useful in both my pharmacy role and in my personal life.”

Jacks has been in her role at WHC since 2022.
