Four members of the Waverly Health Center (WHC) team have been named May/June Spotlight on Values award winners. Nominated by co-workers, patients and members of the community, these individuals are examples of WHC’s values in action.

Bailey Krull of Waverly, quality services, was recognized for the value of excellence. Her nominator said, “Bailey exemplifies the Waverly Health Center Service Standard of Excellence through her work and dedication to sexual assault victims. Bailey has spent the last couple of years developing, training and educating herself, staff, and leaders throughout the organization on sexual assault and the necessary steps to take when a sexual assault victim presents to the emergency department. Bailey’s dedication has not only brought awareness to the organization, but it has also brought a sustainable and reliable service to Waverly Health Center for sexual assault victims in our community and many other communities.

Spotlight on Values Winners

Bailey continues her dedication through continuing education and bringing up to date information and process to the organization along with supporting sexual assault victims outside of the organization. Waverly Health Center and the community are better because of the work Bailey has done and continues to do.”

Dixie Meyer of Vinton, information systems, was recognized for the value of innovation. Her nominator wrote, “Dixie’s approach has allowed for positive changes on the implementation of sepsis and our new triage documentation at the Waverly Health Center. She may not be at the bedside, but the differences she makes for our patients is shown through the work being done every day at the bedside by others. Her dedication to her work, team members and patients is greatly appreciated.”

Nikki Geerts of Readlyn, Christophel Clinic, was recognized for the value of excellence. Her nominator stated, “Nikki demonstrates excellent leadership skills in her role as WHC’s Clinic Lead Vaccine Nurse. Her experience and knowledge of vaccines and the Vaccines for Children Program makes her a great resource for providers, nurses and patients. Not only are we lucky to have Nikki as a member of our healthcare team, but our patients and families are lucky to have Nikki involved in their care!”

Dr. Robert Roof of Manchester, ED Physician, received WHC’s Quarterly Provider Spotlight on Values Award. His nominator had received a phone call from a patient that stated he had no complaints about our facility and was very impressed with the physician who took care of his wife. The patient was very grateful for the treatment they received.

WHC has adopted six values which include compassion, enthusiasm, excellence, innovation, integrity and leadership. The Spotlight on Values program recognizes WHC employees, volunteers and physicians for demonstrating these values. Patients, visitors and employees are encouraged to submit nominations for the WHC Spotlight on Values honors. Nominations can be submitted at any Spotlight on Values ballot boxes placed throughout the health center, or by clicking here.
