On January 3, 2026, at 1:18 a.m., Kenzie and Tyus Adkins of Maynard welcomed their daughter, Quinley Faye, into the world at Waverly Health Center (WHC) with the assistance of Dr. Larry Lindell and hospital staff. Quinley weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 20 inches long, making her the first baby born at WHC.
Big sister Paisley is already embracing her role as a helper, proudly showing off her new sibling and saying, “This is my baby.” Kenzie Adkins said, “It was a joy and privilege to be the first 2026 baby of the year.”
To celebrate the milestone, the Adkins family received a First Baby Basket filled with receiving blankets sewn by volunteers, along with gifts and goodies from WHC, Center Pharmacy and the WHC Auxiliary.
“We are honored to welcome Quinley to the WHC family,” said Stephanie Penney, Inpatient Services Director. “We wish the Adkins family all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter together.”
