Full Circle Moments at Waverly Health Center

Jodi Holshlag, Waverly Health Center (WHC) RN recently helped welcome a beautiful baby girl into the world and she recognized a very familiar name on the chart. The baby’s dad, Ryan Dewey, was also born at WHC and Jodi helped deliver him too!

Ryan was born via c-section, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz. Now, 23 years later, Jodi was there once again. This time to support Ryan as he became a dad. His daughter, Alyse, was born on May 14, 2025, weighing 8 lbs 6.4 oz.

Dr. Elizabeth Dupic and Dr. Daisy Miller delivered baby Alyse, with Jodi by their side once again creating a full-circle moment 23 years in the making.

Ryan’s wife, Shelby shared, “Waverly Health Center helped us have the best labor and delivery experience! We also had the very best nurses and doctors we could have asked for.” 

“This experience was surreal,” said Ryan. “Knowing that the same nurse who helped bring me into the world was there for my daughter’s birth is so cool. It just shows how special this place really is.”

From his first breath to becoming a father himself he’s been in good hands every step of the way. These are the full-circle moments that remind us why we do what we do. Congratulations to the Dewey family and thank you for letting us be part of your story…again!
