In most cases, yes. Your primary care provider or specialist will need to refer you for cardiovascular testing. This helps ensure the right tests are ordered for your condition. If you’re unsure whether a referral is needed, our team can help you check based on your insurance plan.
Yes! You do not need to be an established patient at Waverly Health Center to access our cardiovascular testing services. We welcome referrals from outside providers and clinics. Once we receive your provider’s order, we’ll coordinate the scheduling and keep your referring provider updated with results.
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Coverage for cardiovascular tests may depend on your plan and whether your provider deems the test medically necessary. Our billing team is available to verify your coverage and explain any out-of-pocket costs.
Once we receive an order from your provider, our scheduling team will contact you to arrange a convenient appointment time. If you have questions or need to reschedule, you can call our scheduling office directly. (319) 483-4061
Most tests are painless and non-invasive. You may be asked to wear comfortable clothing, avoid caffeine, or fast for a few hours beforehand. Our care team will give you instructions when your appointment is scheduled and explain everything step-by-step on the day of your test.
