Waverly Health Center’s ambulance department provides high-level emergency medical care. Two ambulances are staffed and ready around the clock, with a third available as needed. Our EMS professionals are trained in a range of advanced certifications, including Critical Care Paramedic Certification, hazardous materials operations and aggressive behavior management.
We are proud recipients of the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Award, recognizing our outstanding performance in delivering prompt, evidence-based care to patients experiencing cardiac and stroke-related emergencies.
As a provisionally designated Critical Care Transport service, our team is equipped to provide rapid assessment, resuscitation, emergency stabilization and hospital admission for trauma and complex medical cases. When needed, we coordinate seamless transfers to higher-level trauma centers.

On-site EMS coverage for community events, athletic games, community education and classroom instruction.
If you or someone else is experiencing a life-threatening emergency such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms or unconsciousness call 911 immediately. Our EMS team can begin care on the way to the hospital, which may save valuable time.
Waverly Health Center’s ambulance service covers Waverly and surrounding communities in our service area. We provide both emergency response and medical transport when needed.
Yes. Our ambulances are staffed by licensed paramedics and EMTs who are trained in advanced life support, trauma care and emergency response. Our EMS team works closely with hospital staff to ensure a smooth transition of care.
Ambulance services are often covered by insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, but coverage can vary. Our billing department can help you understand your benefits and any potential out-of-pocket costs.
Yes. Our Emergency Medical Services team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to emergencies in our community.
Our ambulances are equipped with advanced life support (ALS) tools, including heart monitors, oxygen, IV supplies, medications and trauma care equipment. We also carry specialized equipment to safely transport infants and young children, ensuring high-quality care for patients of all ages.
