Our Respiratory Services

Waverly Health Center offers a full range of respiratory therapy services to support patients with breathing difficulties, both in the hospital. Our licensed respiratory therapists use advanced equipment and evidence-based care to help improve lung function and overall respiratory health.

    Our respiratory services include:

    • Oxygen therapy and aerosol breathing treatments
    • Airway clearance therapy, including suctioning
    • Nebulizer treatments and inhaler education for proper usage
    • Pulse oximetry monitoring to track oxygen saturation levels
    • Ventilator management and support for CPAP/BiPAP machines
    • Arterial blood gas (ABG) testing to measure oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the blood
    • Pulmonary function testing (PFTs) to assess lung capacity and performance
    • Cardiac stress testing and heart rhythm monitoring
    • Education for patients and caregivers on managing respiratory conditions
    • Holter Cardiac Monitors

    • Home Sleep Studies
    Do I need a referral for respiratory therapy?

    Yes. A referral from your primary care provider or specialist is typically required for outpatient respiratory therapy services. If you’re receiving inpatient care, your medical team will coordinate these services as needed.

    Is respiratory therapy covered by insurance?

    Most respiratory therapy services are covered by insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, when they are medically necessary. Our team can help you verify your benefits and answer any questions about costs.
