Waverly Health Center is proud to announce that Emily Schut, breast care navigator, has been named a recipient of the prestigious Hospital Hero Award by the Iowa Hospital Association.
The Hospital Hero Awards recognize hospital employees who have demonstrated extraordinary courage in a crisis or have selflessly served their hospitals and communities throughout their careers. At its annual meeting held October 7–8 in Des Moines, the Iowa Hospital Association honored 11 individuals who exemplify the passion and purpose of the community hospital mission.
Emily’s dedication to compassionate care and her unwavering support for patients navigating breast health challenges make her a true hero in our community. Her recognition reflects the values and commitment that define Waverly Health Center.
“We are incredibly proud of Emily and grateful for the impact she makes every day,” said Kelly Hilsenbeck, WHC chief nursing officer. “She embodies compassionate, person-centered care as she guides people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.”
